Candy corn is gross, but this kind I like

I just took some styrofoam cones from the Dollar Tree, cut one down with a knife, and covered them in wall spackle (you can use plaster too).

Quick coat of paint and voila!

The Halloween shelf is coming along nicely!

Don't be afraid to be different!

One day in the pumpkin patch,
The strangest little pumpkin hatched,
Spookley wasn't like his friends,
Where they had curves, he had ends!
Spookley was different,
He was odd,
He was rare,
Spookley the pumpkin wasn't round,
He was...square!

This is my favorite Halloween book and I think every family should own it! I have easily read it over 800 times.  I used to work at an therapy center for children with Autism and this book was one of my "kids" favorites.  We read it all year long! I'm kind of sad I don't have it memorized anymore.

Such a great story!

Have a wonderful day everyone!

Hoo are you??

Night Owl Crafting does these cute little questionnaires and now that I have a blog I can finally participate!

NightOwlCrafting

1. List 3 words that remind you of fall.
Pumpkins, leaves, cold weather
2. Do you wear jewelry often?
Wedding rings of course, and usually a necklace.  I rarely wear earring because I always lose them!
3. Do you like your toe nails painted or natural?
My toe nails have never gone longer than 10 minutes being un-painted in the past 10 years.
4. Do you ever wear a hat?
I was actually asked this question today at work.  Nope! Never.
5. Do you have someone that you talk to everyday on the phone?
My husband.

I was featured!!

I was featured for the very first time! It's a good Tuesday :)

Thanks Stephanie!

Halloween Craft Semi-Fail

It's crooked.
The "S" didn't stay for some reason.
and
"the moon" isn't centered.

But I don't care enough to re-do it (for a third time).  Anyone else ever get that way?

I do love the quote at least :)

There's a great deal going on Groupon - $10 for $20 worth of products from soap.com with free shipping!

If you aren't a member of Groupon you have to check it out!

To go straight to the deal, go here.

THE DEAL ENDS TONIGHT!

Can you get any more simple?

I was FINALLY home for a night (and not doing homework) so I whipped this up with an abandoned black picture frame I found.

I just used clipart I found on Google and printed it out.

[Okay, I have no idea why my brand new camera is taking fuzzy pictures.  I guess I am forced to have a fuzzy blog. Ugh.]

If you'd like to print out this "art" for yourself, go right ahead! Here's the file.  It fits a 4x6 picture frame.

*Disclaimer: I do not own any of the artwork used in this project.  I could not find a copyright either. (Someone tell me if I can get in trouble for this).

Choo-Choo! Coupon Train

Good morning!

I have started a coupon train with a few couponing friends of mine (6 to be exact).  Has anyone else done this? I never have.  I've been googling the heck out of it.

Here's how (Google tells me) it works:

1. A list is compiled of all the people on the "train" and their addresses in numerical order.

2. The first person on the list (me) starts the "train" by mailing an envelope full of unwanted coupons to the next person on the list.

3. That person then goes through the coupons and takes out what she can use and puts in unwanted coupons then mails it to the next person.

4. Then it just keeps getting passed in a circle!

Rules:
1. Don't take out more coupons than you put in.
2. You must send it to the next person on the list within 3 days of receiving the coupons so everyone gets a chance before they expire.
3. Remove all expired coupons, don't pass them on.
4. Each person will be given a number. Write that number on the back of all the coupons you contribute. When the "train" gets back to you, if you see any coupons with your number on it, throw them out because they have already been through everyone and no body seems to want them. This will reduce the same unwanted coupons going around and around.

Any suggestions?  The train is going to leave the station today.  I'll let you know how it goes!

Button time! Thanks for linking up!

[Someday I Will Make This... Sunday] - Week 2

We've all seen this beautiful mason jar chandelier. I'm in love!

This makes me laugh.  One day, when I have a laundry room, this phrase will displayed.

I've already got my first vacation rock from our honeymoon.  Just have to add the name and year!

This sign is much cuter than my way of collecting pocket treasure.

I may add more later.
Have a wonderful Sunday!

It really is an addiction...

I NEED TO CRAFT! Ahh!! I only can craft on weekends, for the most part, due to school and I have not been in my house for a weekend since July 31st.  That's right, this is my EIGHTH weekend away from my home.  It was okay at first, but I'm a little tired of it now.  I went to Hobby Lobby with a good friend last night and stocked up on some crafting supplies. I can't wait to get home and start making stuff.

Anyways, so this is kind of a vent and an apology for not having anything to post.  Trust me, I don't like it.

What are you crafting this weekend? Let me live through you vicariously. Please?

Adorable TP Pumpkin Garland

I just had to share this amazingly inventive pumpkin garland made from toilet paper/paper towel rolls! If I didn't have a wedding to attend this weekend I would totally be making this! I will soon for sure.

Just wanted to share :)

[Someday I Will Make This... Sunday] - Week 1

These adorable Jingle Bell Ants.

Oh-so-creative Glue Gun Car Vinyl.

Jumbo Candy Corn (already in progress).

Couponing! ...and followers!

I have followers! I'm so excited!

Alright, my new addiction is couponing.  I'm trying to master it and I think it's coming along nicely.  My biggest savings have been $14 one grocery trip...not too shabby considering it was $0 before.

Anyways, I'm trying to figure out a better way to organize my coupons.  I have one idea that I will reveal later, but I want to know what YOU do!

Coupon tip I learned today: Kroger doubles coupons EVERY DAY up to 50 cents! This may be common knowledge to most, but it was news to me!

(my current coupon mess)

I love having my coupons with me wherever I go in my little coupon wallet, but it has issues.

1. Not enough pockets.
2. So cramped, coupons get squished to the bottom and then I forget about them.

P.S. If you haven't checked out Fabu-lessly Frugal, it's a must! I dream to save like this woman!

Happy weekend everyone!

Super Easy Halloween Wreath

Here is just a quick little Halloween wreath I whipped up.

First, I took a wire coat hanger and made it in a circle (sorta).

Then I just tied strips of orange fabric and black tulle until the coat hanger was completely covered.  Add a 2/$1 spider from Dollar Tree and you're done!

*Disclaimer for the past 2 posts: So sorry about the poor photo quality.  I lost my camera and have been using my phone.  The camera is now found and future pictures should be better! Apologies!

"Spell"binding Craft

Well, with Halloween fast-approaching it only seemed right to have my first tutorial be Halloween-related.  I was very happy with the results and it only cost $2!

First, I got this old 1958 dictionary from the thrift store.  It's all tattered and perfect!

I wanted it to look like old fabric covering so it so I flattened out a paper bag.

Crumpled it up and spread it back out (sorry for the blurry picture).

Then I covered the book with some Elmer's glue.  I also covered the pages in aluminum foil so it wouldn't get spray paint on it.

Used my Cricut to cut out "SPELLS" on contact paper.

Can't forget the side!

Sprayed with trusty .98 black spray paint and peeled off the letters

Perfect! (well as perfect as my crafts get)

Thanks for stopping by and please check back soon!
